The service of a Buyer's Agent is customarily free to the buyer as the seller typically pays commission to both agents. The Listing Agent represents the seller's interest and this is why many informed buyers would prefer to have their own interests represented by a Buyer's Agent.

Many buyers feel they can negotiate a better price by entering into a transaction without agent representation.
